  • Anatomy of the face and neck:
  • Basic anatomical structures of the face and neck: Discuss the structure of the bones, muscles, soft tissues, blood vessels and nerves in the face and neck.
  • Key areas for aesthetic treatments: Detailed discussion of treatment areas (e.g. wrinkle filling, Botox, mesotherapy). An understanding of the topography of the face and neck is essential to perform treatments accurately and safely.
  • Understanding anatomy in the context of safety: How knowledge of anatomy helps to avoid damage to important structures such as nerves, blood vessels or salivary glands.
  • Safety of procedures in the context of anatomy:
  • Discussion of dangerous areas that require special attention and precision when performing procedures (e.g. orbital area, nasolabial furrows, mandibular area).
  • How to avoid complications associated with inappropriate injection sites.
  • Complications following aesthetic procedures:
  • Types of complications: Understand the different types of complications that can occur after aesthetic procedures, such as bruising, swelling, infection, allergic reactions, tissue ischaemia.
  • Complications related to poor technique: such as poor needle insertion, wrong injection location or inadequate preparation dose can lead to adverse effects.
  • Recognition of complications and their treatment: How to recognise complications quickly and what steps to take to minimise their effects. Discuss the basic principles of managing complications.
  • Prevention of complications: Principles of aseptics, proper preparation of the client for the procedure and selection of appropriate instruments and preparations to minimise the risk of complications.
  • Rules for managing complications:
  • What action to take if complications arise after aesthetic procedures. Discussion of methods to minimise side effects.
