- Discuss the main techniques used in lip pigmentation, such as contouring with shading, the ombre effect and the natural filling effect.
- Anatomy and physiology of the skin in the lip area
- Skin structure of the lips, differences from other areas of the face.
- Skin types and their impact on the course and permanence of lip pigmentation.
- Health and safety at work
- Health and safety rules and sanitary and epidemiological procedures in force in the practice.
- Techniques for sterilisation and disinfection of instruments, rules of personal protection for the client and the linergist.
- Lip pigmentation equipment and materials
- Overview of tools and materials: razors, needles, dedicated lip pigments and other accessories.
- Selection of appropriate tools for different pigmentation techniques and their maintenance.
- Colour and choice of lip pigments
- Colour theory and principles of pigment mixing.
- Pigment colour selection based on skin tone, natural lip colour and client preference.
- The effect of different pigments on the end result and colour fastness.
- Shape design and lip symmetry
- Initial drawing techniques: principles of proportion and lip symmetry.
- Matching the shape and colour of the lips to the client's facial features.
- Artificial skin exercises
- Training in precision movements and pigment application on artificial skin.
- Practising different pigmentation techniques: contouring with shading, ombre effect, natural fill effect.
- Depth control and even distribution of pigment.
- Preparation of the client for treatment
- Conducting a consultation with the client and an interview regarding contraindications.
- Designing the shape of the lips and discussing the intended effect with the client.
- Disinfection of the mouth area and application of anaesthetic (if used).
- Working on models under the supervision of an instructor
